課程簡介
自社會學從哲學中獨立出來時，理論在這個學科領域裡就有其特殊意義。作為一種觀看而非實作的參與方式，社會學理論採取了懷疑與批判的角度，除了開展我們心靈與精神的視野，並且重建我們對實在與世界的認識。
傳統上，社會學理論分為古典與當代兩個部分，除了兩者探討主題、研究方法乃至思考取向都有不同之外，作為社會學的一個重要組成部分，很難在短時間內讓大家既廣博又精通。即便如此，面對浩瀚的當代社會學理論，一個學期也難免捉襟見肘；若不想淪為無所不包的通論課程或是潛心名家的專論課程，那麼如何取得平衡實在是一個難題。經過取捨，我們先從 Parsons, Luhmann & Habermas 入手，掌握行動與系統之間的關係，再集中到 Giddens, Foucault & Bourdieu。雖說每位思想家分配時間相當不足，但仍希望能讓同學一窺當代社會學的堂奧。

課程要求 |
課程進行
修課同學請到「CEIBA教學網站」。本學期所有文件傳遞、消息通知與作業繳交等，請全部 po 到版上，並自行備份。相關網路問題，請洽任課教師。
1. 每週作業：依據讀本內容，每週有相關問題請同學回答，題目會 po 在版上，回答也請回到版上。內容請直接徵引文本，或註明出處。每週作業請於上課前48小時po版，切勿遲交。無故遲交兩次者視同一次未交，兩次未繳交作業者視同無故報告缺席。本學期每週問題中，有一題必須處理是一樣的：(1) 文本的對話對象；(2) 文本影響了那些學者、著作、思潮或學門等。
2. 課堂報告：課堂上由一位同學報告每週作業，並由一位同學評論所有同學答案。負責報告及評論的同學除不可抗力之原因外，不得缺席；無故報告缺席者，學期成績以不及格計。課堂報告亦請於上課前24小時po版，切勿遲交。
3. 期末報告：題目自訂，但以課程範圍為限。內容除本文外必須包含三個部分，即：術語彙編、文獻回顧與參考書目。(a) 術語彙編即期末報告中主要討論概念及其定義；(b) 文獻回顧即期末報告主要對話對像之反省與批判；(c) 參考書目即儘可能羅列所有相關文獻，並需區分為：必讀書目與延伸閱讀。最後繳交期限：2013.06.18，上午9:00。
評分方式：期末報告佔40%，每週作業佔40%，課堂參與佔20%。 |
